I grew up an athlete following the standard American diet. I got into body building in my early 20’s and became addicted to fitness and dabbled in disordered eating. In short, I wrecked my endocrine system and my hormones. I have a beautiful healing journey that has allowed me to dive deep into the realms of healing in my own body as well as with many clients over the years. I specialize in women’s and adrenal health, hormone balance, herbal medicine, and performance nutrition. 

 

I take a holistic and ancestral approach to nutrition. Getting back to our roots and living in sync with nature is fundamental. I use food as medicine and love how our bodies require different processes at different stages of our evolution. I love guiding others in eating real food and paying attention to the individuality that our bodies require to heal and perform at their most optimal state. I am passionate about helping individuals uncover vibrant health and optimize their performance in all areas of life. I love sharing tools that promote health, vitality and abundance. I believe that healing happens holistically and that there is no separation between mind, body, and spirit. I believe that reconnecting with our primal, intuitive and cyclical nature is key in helping us live with vibrant health, power, confidence and in helping us enhance our connection with others and with ourselves.

Movement Philosophies

I have always loved moving and playing in my body. From the time I was 5, I was racing BMX and motor-cross. I played softball, soccer, ran track, and was a sponsored skateboarder throughout my adolescent years. I got into bodybuilding and mountain biking in my early 20’s. I then incorporated more flow style movements like capoeira, dance, gymnastics, rings, and primal flow. I have always loved being strong and capable in my being. I love coaching individuals on body awareness, strength, mobility, agility, flow and play. 

 

I love looking at movement and fitness as play. By developing a playful approach to life, you can awaken your mind and reach a new state of consciousness because play changes and rewires your brain so that you become more receptive to new ideas, you become more creative, and are better able to deal with stress in your everyday life.

There are chemical and biological reasons why the act of play makes us feel better. Just 30-minutes of play can unlock powerful feel-good hormones and change the way the brain responds to the signals it receives. These feel-good hormones - endorphins, oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin - are the key to incredible mental health benefits, including improved mood, reduced stress, greater happiness and a feeling of being more alive and embodied.

 

I have taken all that I have learned in my diverse styles of movement expression and offer private coaching in the realms of primal flow, strength training, calisthenics, gymnastics rings, dance, handstands, flexibility, corrective exercise, mountain bike coaching, and weight loss. 

 

Primal Flow is an innovative style of fitness that combines quadrupedal and ground-based movements with elements from various bodyweight training disciplines to create a fun, challenging, multi-planar workout. By reconnecting to your body through primal flow, you gain a better understanding of your body while enjoying increased mobility, flexibility, stability, power, endurance, skill, neuromuscular communication and playfulness. 

 

I create bio-individualized plans for clients based on where they are currently at with their fitness level and where they want to be. It starts with a virtual assessment where we assess functional movement, flexibility, mobility, strength and endurance. From here, we talk about your fitness goals and come up with a plan that works best for us to get you to where you want to go.
